Elements and Performance Criteria

1. Conduct inspection
   • Designated areas to be inspected are identified and defined within scope of inspection
   • Inspection is conducted, in accordance with organisational policies and procedures and regulatory requirements
   • Non-compliance and possible breaches are detected and recorded, in accordance with organisational procedures, requirements and legislation
2. Prepare report
   • Inspection report is compiled and submitted
   • Details of offences or breaches are recorded and recommended actions are submitted to appropriate personnel, in accordance with organisational procedures
   • Infringement notices are initiated and processed, and offences are reported, in accordance with organisational procedures
3. Determine requirements for inspection
   • Need for inspection is identified
4. Scope of inspection is determined, based on legislative provisions and organisational requirements
5. Power of entry is determined, in accordance with legislative provisions and organisational procedures
   • Designated areas to be inspected are identified and defined within scope of inspection
6. Inspection is conducted, in accordance with organisational policies and procedures and regulatory requirements
7. Non-compliance and possible breaches are detected and recorded, in accordance with organisational procedures, requirements and legislation
8. Determine appropriate action to achieve legislativecompliance
   • Consultation is sought with relevant persons, in accordance with organisational procedures, to facilitate resolution of non-compliance
9. Options for action are identified that will enable compliance to be achieved
10. Corrective action plan to achieve compliance is developed as a result of consultation
11. Action is undertaken to achieve compliance
    • Inspection report is compiled and submitted
12. Details of offences or breaches are recorded and recommended actions are submitted to appropriate personnel, in accordance with organisational procedures
13. Infringement notices are initiated and processed, and offences are reported, in accordance with organisational procedures
